A NEW HISTORY OF SFXOn 4th December 2008, St Francis Xavier\'s church celebrated it\'s 160th birthday. The history and guide to SFX, which was produced by Johnny Kennedy for the 150th anniversary, has been updated and is now available from the church at a cost of £2.95 (£4 including P&P in UK).
It makes an ideal present and former parishioners and friends would be delighted to receive a copy - along with the stunning catalogue of the historic exhibition, HELD IN TRUST.
| LIVING THEOLOGYThis year\'s Living Theology Week takes place here from Mon 26h to Fri 30th July. The keynote speaker is Julian Filochowski,former director of CAFOD and chair of the Romero Trust. He will be talking on aid to the the developing countries and the legacy of Archbishop Romero.
Other contributors include: Ian Tomlinson SJ, Paul Nicholson SJ,Gerry J Hughes SJ,John Twist SJ, Gerry O\'Mahony SJ, Michael Smith SJ and a team from the Liverpool Archdioceses Formation Dept.

| LAUNCH OF the FRIENDS OF SFXThe FRIENDS OF SFX will be launched at a spectacular evening event which starts at 7pm on Friday 3rd December - the feast of St Francis Xavier.
Two days later, on Sunday 5th, the former pupils of SFX College and the SFX College choir will join the congregation at the 10.15am Mass to celebrate our patronal feast.
